2002 BMW M3 Convertible
Welcome to the advert of this beautiful Bmw E46 M3 convertible which I've owned for the last 7 years.
I purchased this M3 after searching around for a long while. Since I've owned it it's been mainly used as a weekend car, and has had very little use in the last 2-3 years.
In the last 2 years I've had the following work carried out to ensure it is in the best possible mechanical condition, but unfortunately due to a growing family it just doesn't get used anymore.
Over the last couple of years I've spent a tidy sum (£10k+) on it for work which includes the following:
May 2019 - 97044 Miles
New clutch + Flywheel (including all fixings/gearbox oil etc) -
Subframe has been reinforced using the Reddish Performance kit
New OEM Springs
Steering arms with Track Rod Ends
Read brake disks & pads
Inspection 2 service
New Engine Oil Cooler
Power Steering hoses
The above (plus other small bits) cost in excess of £7k!
July 2020 - 99546 Miles
Front brake discs and pads
S54 head bolt set
Head skimmed + Head gasket replaced
Chain tensioner guide replaced
Inspection 1 service
The above (plus other servicing bits) cost in excess of £3k!
March 2021 - 100491 Miles
Minor Service and Inspection
Both front door locks with motors replaced as they were playing up.
The above (plus other small bits) cost in excess of £800!
Car registered in September 2002
6 speed SMG 2 gearbox
Black Nappa leather
OEM 19" wheels recently refurbed
The Vanos has been refurbed by Mr Vanos
MOT until Feb 2022
All 4 tyres are virtually new - less then 3000 miles on them each. 7mm tread on them each.
Drives amazing and sounds awesome.
A few answers too questions I know I will get asked.
Rod bearings have not been replaced and that’s because they don’t need replacing.
No group viewings.
Miles will increase slightly due to taking the kids out when the weather permits
The drivers seat bolster is pretty worn
The glovebox latch is broken
The headunit has a mind of its own. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
It could do with a proper detail to bring the paintwork back up to scratch
Unfortunately I lost the vast majority of my service history when I moved house, but I have got a couple of invoices for the important jobs. I've also managed to get the history record from BMW which covered it up until 2006.
It is an absolute beauty of a car you will be hard pressed to find one in this condition at the price. Hide description
